Bob, I'm with you...since the article was based on me I can tell you I w=
asn't very happy with it. It amazes me that people still think that leaving=
a feeder out will determine whether a bird migrates or not. For one thing =
the feeder was out while Ruby Throats were still migrating through...and ho=
w many times have we read to leave a feeder out in the winter because it ha=
s been shown that Rufous and others may come through. Did these guys want m=
e to put my feeder away after I had the Rufous...guess so! I suppose if you=
are not capable of seeing a hummingbird through the winter, you should, bu=
tI can tell you I totally changed my life and schedule around taking care =
of that bird and I was happy that she left when she did before we got the b=
ad weather through Christmas week. I've also always read that hummers can b=
ulk up through the day and fly all night if they have to, and to hear that =
one guy say there was no way she could have gotten out of here before the w=
eather hit...and that he can guarantee that they will die...well, that just=
floors me that someone can be that uneducated.

Thanks for the oppurtunity for me to get on the soap box!
