Migrant numbers are still slow on the AT, but we did find some nice birds this morning - two Philadelphia Vireos (really beautiful birds), a Gray-cheeked and Swainson's Thrushes, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Brown Thrashers, and lots of Catbirds, plus 8 species of warblers. Both Blue-winged and Golden-winged (Yea! A beautiful male!) were seen along with a Parula (singing to beat the band), Chestnut-sideds, Magnolia, Blackburnian, Redstarts, and Common Yellowthroats. A cold front is moving in, so birding should be even better tomorrow. Happy birding, Jane Bell Pat Bell Carol Besse Louisville ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.biology.eku.edu/kos/default.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
