Bill's got the scope on eleven Mute Swans just about underneath Chenault
Bridge, where Highway 34 crosses the upper reaches of Herrington Lake, between
Boyle County and Garrard County. The huge, white birds are quite literally
stopping traffic! (It's been almost as much fun watching the cars stop and
back up for a better look.) I've lived here 18 years, Bill's been here 15
years, and we've been birding seriously for at least 12 years. But, we've
never
seen swans around here before!
