Having a late start this morning I arrived at the dams around nine. The wind was already whitecapping the lakes but overall several species of waterfowl and gulls were viewable although not in abundance. Highlights include: Can goose Gadwall Mallard Canvasback Ring-n duck Lesser scaup Bufflehead C. goldeneye Hooded merg Red-br merg Pied-b grebe Horned grebe Bald eagle Bonaparte's gull (energy lake) Ring-billed gull Herring Gull Lesser blk-bk gull (1st winter KY dam marina) Pileated woodpecker Purple finch (feeder at home) I only saw 200 to 300 gulls between the dams with probably 70 % of them below Barkley. There was another 50 to 100 at energy lake. Most of the 150 or so divers were seen from Boyd's landing.
