Rhonda and I had 16 pipits on spindletop land while on the legacy trail around
noon today. they were feeding in field stubble and road side just after going
under the interstate. My first in fayette county I do believe.
Also watched a kestrel catch a vole in same field and land just over our heads
where I was able to ID the prey. My cat used to catch those, so I recognized it
easily
Also saw the cackling geese and a pair of the goldeneye at Jacobson.
