I was joined today by Sydney Penner, Brian Wulker, Laura Phalzer, Tina Nauman,
Antonio Xiera and Nancy Brown for our outing to Lexington Reservoir #4. I was
a lovely snowy morning but the birding was pretty slow. After checking on
Jacobsen Park we went to Reservoir 4 and finished off at Reservoirs 2&3.
Highlights included Two Cackling Geese that are still hanging around at
Jacobsen in amongst the many Canada Geese. While there were also 2
Canvasbacks and 2 Common Goldeneye. Across the way at Reservoir 4 there were 2
Bald eagles (immature and Adult) and 2 more Goldeneye.
At Reservoirs 2&3 we saw a Common Merganser with 170 Hooded Merganser and 68
Ruddy Ducks. Complete lists are below and if anyone needs to be added to the
ebird share list let me know.
