ASK Birders,
Michelle, Chazzy and I made a quick hike at Miller Welch WMA this morning.
Nothing unusual was found so we headed out to Reba Lake for a quick scan.
Most
of the lake was frozen which concentrated about 600 Canada Geese into one small
area. Along with the geese we noted Ruddy Ducks, Mallards, Coots, Hooded
Mergansers, Bufflehead, Snow Geese, and what we were pretty sure was a Cackling
Goose. Four Sandhill Cranes were standing on the ice and eventually took off
and headed east.
