On Sunday I saw a Loggerhead Shrike road along the Cumberland Parkway
about a quarter mile east of mile marker 69.
My family farm Christmas day bird count didn't include a number of
regulars but did include a very unusual species. I had a semi adult male
Northern Harrier pass over. Plus Bobwhite at the feeders. The missed
feeder birds that had been there that week were White-throated Sparrows,
Towhee, and Tree Sparrows.
