I went out to Spindletop (Lexington) with Joe & Gail Swanson on Monday (12/27)
to look for the Snow Buntings that had been reported. Had no luck finding these
or Longspurs, but we did get a Rough-legged Hawk and a Short-eared Owl. The
Rough-legged was a first for me in KY. Also had my first Am Tree Sparrow of the
winter. We ended up with 31 species for the morning. I have a few shots taken
out there and at my house in Scott county.
