All the counts for the Lexington CBC, that was held on
12/20/14 are finally in. Overall we had a fairly typical year. We ended up with
75 species and 12,986 individuals. Notable gets and high counts were:
1 Redhead - only the second time in the last 6 counts.
2 Greater Scaup - first time in the last 6 counts
80 Ruddy Ducks - highest count over the last 6 counts
152 Wild Turkeys - highest count over the last 6 counts
1 Bald Eagle - now for two years in a row.
3 Merlin
91 Downy Woodpecers - highest count over the last 6 counts
214 Blue Jays - highest count over the last 6 counts
518 American Crows - highest count over the last 6 counts
2 Gray Catbirds
1 Black-and-white Warbler
