Roger,
Thank you so much for the advice on the Millet. I saw the Bunting twice at the
feeder yesterday. Both times with no camera ready. This morning saw my first
ever Summer Tanger for just a moment. Two males landed 20 feet from me stayed
for 30 seconds and off they went. Exciting. Male and female hummers busy at
the feeders.

Bob,
I think this is probably courtship behavior. It's too early for Blue Jay
fledglings, and I have seen this type of behavior from other birds in the
spring, especially cardinals.

Would young Blue Jays have fledged?
Yesterday morning at a feederthere were two Blue Jays. One had a seed in
it's mouth, took it over to the other Jay and gave it to it. Then repeated
the operation. The second jay didn't flutter it's wings or beg with an open
beak as I've seen other young birds do.
Or could this have been some type of courtship?
