Would young Blue Jays have fledged?
Yesterday morning at a feederthere were two Blue Jays. One had a seed in it's
mouth, took it over to the other Jay and gave it
to it. Then repeated the operation. The second jay didn't flutter it's wings or
beg with an open beak as I've seen other young
birds do.
Or could this have been some type of courtship?
