Thanks Don I did enjoy the read. I think Blue Jays are great Annie and I once
saw 10,000 plus migrate pass the Holiday Beach Hawk Watch one fall day. It was
quite a sight to see the streams of Blue Jays passing the tower, crossing the
Detroit river into the United States. I had to chuckle knowing that somewhere
in the United States there was going to be a whole lot of Blue Jay mischief
going on, legend has it that the Blue Jay was attracted to the sun shining on
an ear of corn being tossed into the air by the devil one day. Lured by the
golden yellow color; seeing an opportunity the devil tempted the jay into
selling its soul for a kernel of corn. Henceforth the Jay has brought mischief
into the wilds of the land.
Fun birding to you all!
