*Status of Lamont's anti-gun bill, HB6667*
We had a good turnout this past Tuesday for "2A Tuesday" at the Capital.
In all we had about 50-60 gun-owners present.
While 50-60 patriots is great, what we need if we're to stop this bill is
hundreds showing up. With approximately 350k gun owners in CT, 44k of them
CCDL members, we should be flooding the Capital and Legislative Office
Building. We need YOU there. Yes, it's a weekday; yes, it's a commitment
of time, but aren't your Rights worth it? Are you letting the few carry
your load of fighting this bill? Join us next Tuesday May 23rd. It's
easy, you'll be surrounded by like-minded people, and most important,
you'll be making a difference. You don't have to be there for the whole
day, if you can only spare a couple of hours, do that. We need bodies.
I've attached both a PDF and a link explaining the logistics, e.g. where to
park, when we'll be there, what it entails, etc.
In the meantime whether you can make it or not, everyone needs to call
their state representative and senator, and ask to speak to them about HB
6667. Since they're usually not available when you call, request a call
back from them. Be polite, respectful, but clear that you oppose the
gun-control measures in the HB6667. If you don't know who your legislators
