The attached documents contain a synopsis of the gun bill that is about to
be passed. Take a close look at the specs. Notice that most of the handguns
we shoot will no longer be sold in CT if this passes.

HI Fellow IDPA Shooters;
I regret but Gov Lamont and the legislature are refusing to acknowledge
the overwhelming testimony of gun owners in March, opposing HB6667. The
testimony was 4,160 opposed vs 300 support, a 93% opposition rate.
However, CCDL is not prepared to concede the fight. CCDL has prepared
two documents – a 1 page (front & backl) Fact Sheet and a longer 20 page
review synopsis (attached).
Yesterday, I was at the Capital along with some other CCDL members to meet
with our respective representatives. We gave the representatives the
Fact Sheet. I was able to meet with one of my representatives in
person. For another I was able to discuss and provide the Fact Sheet to an
aide.
While we are not sure, CCDL expects the bill will come up for a vote next
Wednesday. Therefore, please act right away. CCDL is asking the
following of responsible gun owners.
· Review the Synopsis of the bill, so you can fully understand how
this will impact gun ownership.
· Please send a copy of the attached Fact Sheet to your State
Representatives and ask them to OPPOSE this bill. You can also call
them, please do not be intimidated. It is your tax money paying their
salary and it is their job to speak with you. If you call and don’t get a
call back, call again.

· Please spread the word among your friends and relatives who are
gun owners.
Be aware this is a changing situation so I will try to provide any new
information or updates as soon as possible. However, this bill could come
to a vote at any time so please do not delay in contacting your
representative. Your action could make the difference of a deciding
vote. In any case, if the bill passes, you will have the satisfaction of
having acted and will be better prepared the next time. Don’t be a
bench sitter.
