I still hump my Gold Cup (my main carry has K-38 sights) which Jim Hoag customized for me in 1978. I carry it in a front pack just about everywhere I go. I just can't see packing a short or light weight version since the difference (to me) isn't that much. If I did go to a lightweight, I think it would be a Kimber Super Carry since it has most of the modifications I like. Until then, my warm live hands are going to stay wrapped around my Gold Cups. I have owned a Colt 1991 Commander standard subdued finish with stock grips and 8 round mags. with Federal Hydro Shock rounds. Once I retired my .45 is my primary firearm. Bob Souza, Ret.
