Steve, I've had the same thought since rolling out of the rack this morning to a bright sunny backyard. I'm waiting as well until about 5 to make a final decision, and if it looks good, I'm going to head out to Flatiron to try and get some time in. Right now (11:30am), at my home about 30 minutes from Flatiron it is about 50% cloudy so it isn't looking promising. I'll post back to this list around 4pm with a report of the conditions west of the valley. Well; It is 10:30 AM and there are some blue skies overhead. A peek at the weather map shows the coast of California is getting lots of rain and clouds. I think that this break in the clouds is just a fake to get us to pack up the scope in hopes of using it this evening, only to cloud up by 6:45 PM and laugh at us from above. But, I am willing to decide at about 4 this afternoon or so. Maybe we can get in a run to Flatiron and do a little observing before the next squall line moves in.
