Give it a try.  I would set the interval to 1 sec.  If you don't have one
you can borrow my SSAG.

My main point is that I would want the guider to hold the star still for 3 
10  second intervals for  B V R I  bands.

I might point out though, that you don't need to recalibrate for every 
field, unless you are making large moves in declination...

I too use the SSAG with PHD Guide.  Paul is right.  Calibration time depends

on the sample rate.  I sample at 1 sec intervals and it takes about 2 
minutes max if I remember correctly.  My guide scope is a 80mm f/5 scope.

Has anyone had any experience with the Orion Star Shoot Auto Guider ? How 
long does it take to calibrate the axis movements before it starts to auto 
guide ? I am thinking about using one with a 80 mm f/7.5 guide scope to keep

a star centered in a 80 sec reticule on my photometer for at least 150 
seconds. Does it take longer than that for the guider to star working 
properly.
