Today's 12-day forecast from the NWS climate group shows for the first time the monsoon flow into Arizona. This is nominally for the dates July 2 to 8, so perhaps a normal start-date for the rains. Note that at the end of this week and into the weekend we'll have yet another Pacific trough coming through (i.e. the dry winter pattern) that will make it windy again. Following this it looks as though the summer pattern will gradually get set up.
