beginning days of amateur CCD imaging and, yes, you should be proud of your
imaging accomplishments. They have been spectacular. However, I think you'll
look at this one again in the future and say "this one needs a little tweaking
or a better night". If you're like most imagists you're never totally satisfied
with the work you've done. That's why you ask for feedback on your images: to
verify your opinion of the latest labor, and a lot of labor these images are.
Keep up the good work! I never get tired of seeing good images.
Clear skies,
Wayne (aka Mr. Galaxy)

Wayne,

This one is like M42. You need two sets of exposures. One for the outer ring
and one for the core. It was a challenge, but all in all I am happy with it.

hm ph: 520-586-2244 Bernie, It looks like you got caught by the hazy skies
and turbulent seeing that we've been experiencing here in southern AZ this
past week or so; your stars appear to be a bit more bloated and fuzzy than
usual, but the guiding is impeccable. You didn't do too badly with the
bright core, and actually it seems like you need a longer exposure to bring
out the external ring. I just looked at M94 and a few of the other
interesting galaxies in Canes Venatici the other night before the high, thin
clouds of late took over.
Clear skies,

Hi,

Here is an image of M94. This one was a real challenge and a learning
experience. The core was completely blown out with regular exposure lengths,
so I had to merge in some 30 second exposures of the core. Even with that
the RGB image was still quite saturated and hence while the core has some
detail, it does not have much color. Comments and suggestions welcomed.
