Subject: [AZ-Observing] M81 & M82 - February 2012

Hello all,
Attached is a link to my latest creation that I shot over the course of 4
different nights last month out at the Antennas observing site west of
Phoenix. I have wrestled with the processing of this image for several
weeks now and I've just reached the point where I have to call it "good".
This is my first image that I've processed with
PixInsight<http://www.pixinsight.com/>.
I utilized PixInsight for almost the entire processing flow; image
calibration, color conversion, stacking and processing. I'm still wrapping
my brain around PixInsight - it couldn't be more different from my old
Maxim/PhotoShop workflow. I do think that PixInsight will come to be the
workhorse of my image processing in the coming months.

For those interested in the details, it's a combined total of 7.5 hours of
data in 8 minute subexposures through a 127mm Refractor at f/7.5. I look
forward to getting back out again and hope that my work schedule cooperates
and we see each other at the Messier Marathon.

As always, critiques and comments are welcome.

Thanks for looking,

Mike
