One critical thing I missed from my previous reply.
So why do we turn up our noses at the folk who got mediocre English
training, but not at those who got mediocre physics training?
Language tells us more about a person's home life than their education. We
can be educated out of our class, as I was, but our social class is the
critical factor here, not our education.
