The Graduate Diploma of Social Science (Technical Communication) at Swinburne 
was discontinued a few years ago. It was an excellent practical course that 
laid a basic but solid foundation to pursue a career in technical writing. It

I thought Swinbourne ran a course...

I've finished the coursework on line for the Grad Dip Info Design through
Christchurch Polytech (CPIT) and loved it! Learned heaps. Quite rigorous.
