There are several tools that capture the screen + the actions -
Captivate (from Adobe) for one, plus Camtasia (from Techsmith), and
other freeware varieties. Each does something a little different.

Captivate can also allow you to create simulations (not just
demonstrations), and can link in to a SCORM-compliant database. =20

Is that more along the lines of what you were thinking??

Hi Michelle
I have SNAGIT and love it, but because I have so much to do I need to =
=3D
record the steps as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

Helen,

I use Snag-it for screen shots and develop my own steps. Snag-it is
available from http://www.techsmith.com/ for about $50

Does any one have advice on what software is the most effective and
affordable to capture screen shots and generate the steps and keystrokes
=3D to help develop IT training manuals in WORD ? I have used INFOPAK =
and
would =3D not consider it again. It's too expensive, cumbersome and has =
a
complete disrespect for Styles.
