If you wanted information about skills as consultants, or those of consulting
businesses, it certainly would help if you asked that straight up rather than
asking
about how to market or promote the wider skills of a Technical Communicator.
It is possible that "Business Analyst" might be a role getting close to what
you're
looking for. This is a role in IT that a number of Tech Comms people move into
as
part of career progression and certainly addresses some of the analysis, design
and general management processes you mention.
However, I am under the impression that you are looking more for a broader
means
of promoting/soliciting work for a business that concerns more than just Tech
writing, no?
Perhaps a squiz at some of the websites for various companies similar to yours
may help you in your quest.
