Graphics Deconstructed: 

all the dirt on gif, tif and jpeg -- and bmp,
eps, wmf, png and ...

Daryl Colquhoun will explain when to use each format and why. He'll also
show you how to
prevent blurry graphics from occurring and to save disk space into the
bargain.
By the end of the meeting,
you should be able to confidently talk of vectors and rasters and
understand the terminology, such as anti-aliasing and
dithering.
