When the measurable cost of Quality head-butts the bottom line. At this
point the directors do a screaming bootlegger (ya know, when you drive a car
really fast in reverse and then swing it through 180 and floor it so the car
never stops moving in the same direction which was originally backwards) and
all of sudden its Q, Q, Q! :-)

One of the phenomena I have observed in over 15 years contracting is that
time frames are getting shorter and 'quality' is reducing.  But do WE have
any choice?  Philosophical question - this can't continue indefinitely - so
what stops it and when does it stop?
