Hi All,
Thanks for all your suggestions. I really appreciate the fast response =
and range of answers, especially considering it was Friday afternoon. =
The only solution that worked was to copy into a new file and reformat =
where necessary. Luckily there wasn't too much of that since I have =
used styles and templates.
Our network has a virus checker that runs every two hours or so, but I =
will ask them about the possibility of a virus anyway.
For those of you who like to persevere with a problem, here are some =
more clues! :)
* The Save and Save As options where not greyed out, but when I selected =
them nothing happened.
* The file name was short and only included alphanumeric characters =
already.
* The file had been saved numerous times previously and autosave and =
fast save had been turned off as my preference is to save properly every =
five minutes or so.
* File had only been open for an hour or so when it stopped working.
* Couldn't Save As RTF because Save As function not working. Ws easier =
to cut and paste into new Word doc.
* Nothing obvious in the Macros for File or Template. Only have a =
couple of macros and have been using these successfully all over the =
place.
