Curiouser and curiouser....

just today as I was slaving away (cut to shots of slaves dragging large
blocks of stone to top of pyramids) at the magazine where I am doing said
slaving (cut to shot of Metropolis the movie, the guy operating the machine
like the hands of a clock)....and the publisher was
mentioning.....Indesign.....

now I only have this overheard conversation to go on, but if you have any
relationship or work in the publishing industry, or the opportunity to go
along it could be quite beneficial. the publisher's take on Indesign went
something like this:

It has a reputation as a good solid product capable of being used to produce
small to medium size magazines.
It costs (apparently) about $200 odd dollars for a copy.

Quark he stated costs a few thousand dollars (I think he said $4,000).....

He was of the belief that a lot of people who do magazine type work would
soon be changing, if they hadn't already.

So it sounds like a product of the future. Hope this information is of
assistance to someone out there!!
