I have decided I am going to go through the AppleVis podcast Basic Tutorials
and have the wireless keyboard sitting with me at the table so that way I
can perform the action being talked about as we go. I was trying it with
listening to the podcast and then goingto the computer, but that just wasn't
working out for me.
I played with my dad's Android for about 5 minutes earlier today after
church and then handed it back to him informing both my dad and mom that if
Amanda cannot answer the question then they are on their own. I am sure Talk
Back was and perhaps if I knew more about it a good thing at one time, but
now since I have been exposed to the Apple Voiceover on the phones the
Android Talk Back seems quite inferior.
I seen some discussion on MacVisionaries where NFB is revving up at
Apple. I am on the fence being that I do not know what the entire resolution
deals with and I did not have time to click on the link that one person
provided. In my opinion NFB is going after the wrong entity, instead of
going after Apple who provides a number of accessible apps and a phenomenal
voiceover feature out of the box they should be going toward Android
manufacturers to get them up-to-date with Apple devices.

Oh. One of those kinds of places huh? Great. Well in the apple world
there often are three or more ways to accomplish something because of
different people with different needs. Also weird things just do occur,
such as lately with flash player update with laptop machines where users
literally have to use the trackpad can't key their way over to actually get
it to do the update, so if the auto update fails for whatever reason the
user has to literally disable the cursor tracking and use the track pad.
Not sure if they have to turn voice over off or not though. But flash is
garbage as far as I'm concerned anyway, it is the definition of a necessary
evil. I will be very happy I think when html5 takes over and that is the
direction Apple is looking and the linux world has already been looking that
direction simply for the better security. Another thing which could easily
become extinct when html5 takes over is those wonderful captchas. Which I
put in the definition of an unnecessary evil *lol*.
I figure if a person posts to a list wanting help, it's because they
actually need it, so may as well answer it and go on, because perhaps there
is another problem going on as to why the standard answer doesn't work.
It sure isn't a reason for a mod or list owner to get his or her undies in a
twist thats for sure. Again there are much more important things in life to
deal with and appreciate as far as I'm concerned. Maybe thats being
arrogant though *lol*.

Well he had a poor mix between his bold intro, and then the discussion of
the particular podcast. He should have used a more toned down intro I think
because compared to the given podcast he sounded tired.
Actually as a person generally he is okay, but like all of us I guess he has
his moments. He did moderate the blind cool tech e-mail list, maybe that is
what made him tired *lol*. He wound up with his hands full with that list.
I joined the blind apple group, but it is already shunted into it's own box
and I haven't gone and read any of it yet.
Guess if he turns up arrogant if I can't humble that I will probably
eventually leave because I really don't want to waste my time with folks
like that, to many other things in life to take care of that are a lot
harder decisions. Maybe that's arrogant on my part. I've been accused of
being that way before by one person, but that person has no credibility with
me as far as I'm concerned. That particular person's record speaks loudly
for itself.

I know of The Rickster-Rickster-Rickster-Rickster-Rickster. Yes he called
himself that on one of his blind cool tech podcasts in his canned intro.
hyped up the upcoming podcast with a fancy intro then when he started
talking in it it sounded like he was exhausted. But I am subscribed to his
blind geek zone podcast. Guess I didn't explore the website enough to find
the group. But guess I'm covered since I have a phone and a couple of macs.
I can even talk vintage or retro macs since we do have a working G4 Mac here
across the room from me *lol*. Those G3s and G4s internally were built like
little tanks, they just keep on going. Not as frail as the Intell chips
they use now.

Unfortunately my Mac devices are phone and computer. Have never dealt with
