[audacity4blind] track volume in a multitrack recording

Hi listers.

in a multitrack recording, to get the right volume for each track, I use the 
effect "amplify". So, however, the work becomes very long. Is

there a faster way to up or down the volume of a single track in a multitrack 
recording?
