I've seen at least one comment that implies that problems with Loop back not
working may be somehow related to Audacity. I saw a comment that Loop back
didn't work but when the person tried virtual recorder and used Loop Back, it
did work. In other words, this problem may not be common, I haven't seen it
discussed much. But it may be an Audacity problem and those who want to
investigate such cases should try another program.
I'm not sure if I saw another comment or two about this over the years. There
was an instance where I got Virtual Recorder to work on someone's machine but
not audacity using Loopback. However, since I don't use Audacity much and
never Loopback myself, I can't be sure if that was the result of user error or
the problem I'm discussing.

In addition to the previous suggestions, it sounds like you have Audacity set
to record through the microphone. Robert’s suggestion would work, provided
loopback will happen on your computer – it doesn’t on this one. Some computers
have a setting called “What you hear” or similar. That should work, but will
almost certainly record your screen reader if one is running.

Subject: [audacity4blind] recording youtube videos to Audasity
Previously I recorded 11 hours of youtube videos for a project of mine but I
finished that 6 months ago. Then I tried to record youtube videos in audasity
and it will not record within the computer it keeps recording exterior sounds
instead of interior sounds like I want. I do not know what the problem is?
Please help.
thank you
