Ignore the step about mixing down to a single track if you want the two tracks
end to end but still separated.

Yes I did all that. The only thing I did not do was mix the two. I don’t think
I had to specially mix tracks together before, as, when I would choose the
option to align end to end, The tracks would automatically get joined. Is it
something new that has come up in audacity? If yes, then how do I mix the two
tracks?

Hi friends,
Some time back Andrew had told me about joining 2 tracks in audacity in which
I have 2 tracks selected on the same window and I choose the alline end to
end option from the tracks menu. It was working perfectly intil today, but
for some reason the tracks are not getting joined. I had recently updated to
audacity 2.31. Please do help.
