Use UP arrow to make sure the cursor is in the first track and ENTER to make sure that track is selected and the second track isn't. Press K to move to the end of the first track. ENTER to deselect the first track. DOWN arrow then ENTER to select the second track. Tracks > Align Tracks > Align with Cursor. You could also select the second track, J to move cursor to the start of that track, then Generate > Silence.
