No what is happening here is the following: 1. You download the .exe file. This gives you the basic Audacity. 2. You then need to uzip this file. As it is an .exe file which goes over the top of what you have installed already. So in otherwords if you follow Dave's instructions those are correct instructions Scott Berry Email: sberry@xxxxxxxxxxx Check out the new Audacity4blind mailing list you may subscribe at: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the subject 'subscribe' -----Original Message----- From: audacity4blind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:audacity4blind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of petrakigianos-giasou@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, March 05, 2006 7:29 PM To: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Website being developed for the audacity4blind list Yes. Info on how to install Audacity. I usually download the .exe of an application to my hard drive. Scan it for viruses. I then enter key on the setup .exe file to install the application. If it is .zip file I unzip first and read the readme.txt file if there is one or takes a look at the FAQ area on the website for the application. So why am I seeing a .zip and .exe files to install Audacity on this list? Can I just download the .exe file and install like I always have? Petro --- "David R.
