Can you remember when this sluggishness started?
Can you let me know roughly how many tracks you are using and roughly how
long they are?
If you just create a single track of about 10 seconds, do you still have
the same problem?
I've currently no idea why Audacity is behaving in the way which you
describe,

sluggishness, in particular when using the shortcut for Stop and Set
Cursor. After pressing the shortcut I usually press space to hear the exact
position. Pressing space however, plays from the previous cursor position,
even if pressed repeatedly. Only after some time Audacity adjusts and space
plays from the current cursor position. Just in case it matters, I have
imported files copied to the project, rather than loading them on demand.

I'm using Audacity 2.1.3 with Windows 10 and Jaws 18.
About a month ago or so, I downloaded the Jaws scripts available for
Audacity.
I've used the control+2 hotkey to set the zoom.
I'm experiencing a lot of sluggish behavior in Audacity when editing
recordings.
Are there any ad-ons I should disable?
Is there another solution to this problem?
