Hi David,

All the information on an audio cassette is simply analogue audio - there is no other signal or information which gives album name, song titles, etc. There is also no way to save this information in .wav format, but you can save this information if you convert your digital audio into mp3 file or files. This information is saved in some kind of "tag" information which you enter when saving audio as an mp3 file. Are you planning to keep your files in wav format (which are relatively much larger than mp3 files), or as mp3 or ogg vorbis (both of which are condensed in size)? Audacity can save to all three types of formats.

Of course, you can save your .wav files with long names, if you want to do that.

As an aside, where are you in Canada? - I'm in Vancouver.

David

Hi, thanks, that worked. I'll go to the web sight and learn some keyboard commands.

If I copy an entire cassette, is there some way to get the info for that cassette such as title and song titles with out typing in the information? David.
