I will agree that the noise profile thing is a bit difficult to use if you're talking about small portions of audio. Since I'm not sure how long of a point we're talking about here, how much actual breathing noise there is, etc. I'm afraid I've no other suggestions. Besides the starting with a good mic suggestion that I gave earlier. Again, a good mic & learning how to talk in to, over or under said mic with a good pop filter will really help in post production. Also being that I'm not sure what sort of project you're attempting to create. I' again have no other suggestions. If you'd be interested in talking with me off list about any ways that I perhaps may help further. Please feel free to contact. ----- Original Message ----- From: Adina Galani To: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 27, 2013 08:56 Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Removing breathing noise All right, thanks very much. Still, in audacity to select just that little small part, in order to creat a noise profile seems to me almost impossible, as it always gets selected more than needed. Now how that would work? Sorry guys, I know this questions might have been answered every now and then, but I was inactive for a while. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sean Paul To: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 27, 2013 11:38 AM Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Removing breathing noise One of the best ways to remove breathing noise is start by using a good quality microphone, no, I'm not talking some high dollar job, a good desent microphone. Also use a pop filter with said microphone. You can purchase these from a meriod of places off of the internet or you can even make your own using old socks which have been washed, pantie hose which have never been wearn, etc. After doing those things to start. Then look at the suggestions outlined in the earlier post which have been pointed out below. A good quality microphone to start, & learning how to properly talk in to said microphone, will go a long way to reducing the amount of post production that you have to do. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dang Manh Cuong To: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 27, 2013 04:52 Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Removing breathing noise Hi Adina I answered this question afiew months ago.
