I have an m-audio delta 10 10 that records multiple tracks in Audacity. It’s
old and uses the WDM system that is now, more or less, defunct (unless you’re
using Windows XP still).
Another option is that we, as a community, convince Steinberg that they should
allow the Audacity team to provide ASIO into the release builds. A person who
can build open source projects can build ASIO into Audacity. Thing is... it
isn’t easy. In fact it takes a few college level courses to understand the
build process and libraries to build the source of Audacity. Let alone change
the build options that allow ASIO into the build process.
I’d love to hear about modern USB mixers that can record multiple channels
using Windows 10 in Audacity without needing ASIO.
