as Ted has said, there's problem running Audacity with Jaws on the Windows
10 creators update. I don't know what the problem is yet - there doesn't
appear to be a problem running Audacity with either NVDA or Window-eyes. So
for the moment, if you want to use Jaws you'll have to roll back to the
previous version. You have ten days after the update to do this easily.
I would encourage you to let Freedom Scientific know that there is a
problem running Audacity on the creators update. If you do this, it would
be very helpful if you could report back any response that you get. As far
as I'm aware, this is the first time there has been such a serious problem
with Audacity and Jaws.

Just recently, the program crashes when attemptingto open files. I have
uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, still the same issue, and I don’t know
what has brought it on. No major changes to the laptop either. I am using
Jaws and running Windows 10. I did just update to the creater version, but
have successfully used Audacity since then.
Any advice is appreciated.
