USB audio devices have a nasty habit of taking control of audio settings and
then the computer, thus jaws, thanks that it is your default audio device. This
is because a USB audio device has its own chipset making it effectively a
standalone sound card in and of itself. you need to tell Jaws to reroute back
to your inboard soundcard
