New user here. I have a mp3 file here and I want to cut off the
first 30 seconds and also cut off a segment near the end of this
same mp3 file.

I already know how to import the file, play the file, stop file
and so on.

Just explain it. You do not have to go into too much detail with
this. Of course I will make a copy of my original file into
another folder in order to preserve the original file. This
allows me to experiment with Audacity.

What is the keyboard shortcut for making a selection - like a
mark - to tell Audacity mark it here.

I reviewed the program's menus here. I noticed it has a keyboard
tab with Preferences. Ctrl+P.

I hope someone can lead me in the right direction with this.
