Hey Christina: Yeah, it's a great loss to the world, in general. Barbara was
a special person! She would do anything in her power to get her clients what
they needed. Also. and more importantly, she understood that just placing her
clients in jobs not a success, only if they're placed in a job that utilizes
the skills they have to the optimum level is a counselor's job really done.

My friend Shana, another former client of Barbara's, called Rehab yesterday
and was informed that the Richmond office is hiring a new counselor. It's true,
they don't have a plan for the interim; this was quite unexpected, but they're
working on it and will notify us ASAP. At least this happened at mid-semester.
I can only imagine the chaos that would have insued if she had died when us
students needed our book and supply vouchers or tuition covered. Our transit
checks may be slightly late, (if she hadn't gotten around to the this month's
authorizations yet) but that isn't unheard of. We'll get though the
uncertianty; we can't expect another Barbara, but if we end up with someone at
least half as good we'll still be doing fine!

How did you find out, anyway? Rehab hasn't let us know the situation. I only
know thanks to the "blind vine". I hope you are well and happy.
Warm regards to all the ATS group,
    Jessa
