Dear All,
Such issues are bound to recur if we do not insist on using Unicode
fonts. I had written a mail earlier on this issue. Please go through
it.
There is no robust way to recover the file -- it will have to be
converted at source.
Unless we absolutely insist on Unicode, we will be wasting a lot of
time. Please realise that (unless you are using an archaic system)
there is no difference in the way you key-in the letters between
Unicode and non-Unicode, so it is (mostly) a question of using the
right font encoding in the document, not a question of changing
keyboard layout or script/language interface.
