Dear Anish and Uma,It might be best if Anish sends a reworked draft as per this
email exchange to Bhas, Satyajit and Vineeta for comments tomorow - as they
would be best to judge having discussed internally and explored with
Shashidhara. A mix of general and specific can be tried - all that is covered
in mail exchange.

Maybe something like "We would really appreciate IISER helping out with
academic inputs, support for holding teachers' workshops and other forms of
engagement"?

I just felt the first draft sounded a bit vague. What do you think?

Should we write about holding KRT intensive training workshops at COESME,
participation of IISER faculty in the Ashram school engagement (e.g. in
material development, Bhas coming as a representative of IISER instead of in an
individual capacity to the Amravati workshop), and something else like
students' participation?

I am not sure if such a general letter is what is required. Shouldn't there be
some specifics?

Dear all,
Satyajit Rath had suggested :
Secondly, IISER, Pune. I have now talked with Shashi (Shashidhara) as well as
Bhas and Vineeta. Shashi is very enthusiastic about pretty much all the
tentative plans that Anish had summarised (although how much will actually
happen is somewhat unclear!). However, again, it would be good to start by
having formal letters go to him asking for collaborative assistance from both
you and the government of Maharashtra, and again, I will be glad to work with
you on those drafts. Shashi pointed out (and Bhas agreed) that IISER-Pune
already has a funded effort going on called COESME which is very appropriate
for this purpose (http://www.iiserpune.ac.in/ou treach/coesm, and of which he ;
is currently the head. So the letters should go to Shashi as head, COESME, to
begin with. Shashi too suggests that he will invite Eklavya to come down for a
meeting, and we can take it on from there in all these directions.
Could you go through this draft? Tried to keep it non-specific for now - as the
KRTs & youth-workshops and other academic engagement details can come later
(?). Once we make this pucca, we could send it to Bhas, Vineeta and Satyajit
for their suggestions.
