Greetings,
I've found it best (cheapest) to find a tube that's priced well; and
then adapt eveything else to that.
One company I had good luck with was Plastifab http://www.plasti-fab.com/
At one time a not to be named HP small motor maker ordered a bunch of
98mm, 54mm, and 38mm tubing from them. He then stiffed them and didn't
buy it. I got some great deals on these. Definitely look around for
some well priced options. I also have had good luck at our local scrap
metal place. First, a lot of the stuff is new. And it's very
reasonable. My method was to get a good motor liner, then take it to
the scrap place and try to find an AL tube that it fit into. This
yielded some nice, inexpensive liner/motor tube combos.
By the way, your project looks awesome! Very nice work.
Cheers,
Brian
