Hi folks,
I have just uploaded OS update 20 for iMX6 (formally known as "ARMX6")
machines to the usual download site for upgrades (see inside back cover of
your welcome guide). It is in the "Beta OS Updates" folder (for now).
Please note that mini.m users will need a similar-but-different version
which I'll roll out once this version has been sanity-checked.
I can confirm that I have installed this on my iMX6 systems here and
things seem to be running well. It has also been (successfully) tested on
several other machines in the field.
This ROM is based on a recent snapshot of the main RISC OS repository, and
contains the new SDIO updates that improve SD performance on i.MX6 and
make the wifi module visible (*SDIOdevices).
You may also notice the PNG support in !Paint amongst other changes.
If you could report back any success / failure that'd be great. My
expectation is that I will promote this to full release next week all
being well.
To upgrade, use the !OSupdate program in the zip as usual.
Best wishes,
Andrew
PS, interesting tidbit... the iMX6 system is will be 8 years old this
year, which (I think) makes it tied for the longest "active production"
RISC OS computer with the RiscPC (although there's some debate over how
long the A9 was available).
