I've managed to get my ARMX6 to lock up on starting. The pointer
freezes after about one second with the hourglass on. Not even
Ctrl-Break will restart it. How do you get it to boot up without
running any applications?
I also managed to do this on my new ARMX6 while introducing something
into the boot sequence. I regained control by repeated hitting the
Esc key while booting up. This resulted in a rudimentary screen
enough to remove the offending files and get a proper reboot.
Hope that Helps.
Thanks. I managed to get in after disconnecting the network. I tried
hitting Alt-Break before it locked up and could terminate various
tasks but I couldn't find what was causing the problem. I seem to
recall that on older machines it was possible to boot from CD or
another device by holding down particular keys on startup.

I don't want a "user experience" - I just want stuff that works.
