Likewise here. Before the OS update IcnClipBrd functioned consistently
across all (as far as I noticed) applications. The new system built into
the OS is not consistent. As I mentioned recently, pasting into one of the

This appears to be an M-Pro bug: I posted a detailed analysis of what it was
doing to the ROOL forum a while back, but am not sure if anyone picked it
up.
I don't use Eureka but John had found the opposite problem there;
The problem with Eureka is that it's effectively abandonware that does some
boderline dodgy stuff with the Wimp interface. It would be nice to support
it, but if that means compromising things for all other applications, then
I'm not sure it's a price worth paying.
One possibility is that IcnClipBrd could be made to do some slightly
different things, and only on applications which don't play well with the
Wimp support. I'm not 100% sure of what/how at present... and I don't use
Eureka.
This may be due to these applications handling writeable icons internally
in idiosyncratic ways, but if the OS is going to incorporate this feature
at all it would seem better to do it the same way IcnClipBrd does it, so
as to achieve consitency.
IcnClipBrd is a fairly large hack, due to the nature of what it does. I
don't think it's a good model for how clipboard support should be
implemented in icons if one has access to the Wimp to do it.
Should someone raise this with ROOL?
Yes.
If you're using an OS build with clipboard support in the Wimp, you're using
a test build and your feedback is valuable. There do appear to be a number
of odd edge-cases in the new support, and that's *exactly* why ROOL release
these nightly builds for people to test.
There's been discussion about this kind of thing on the ROOL forums since
the start of the year. I'm sure that more input, so long as it's
constructive, would be very welcome.
