Following on from Andrew's comments about installing Manjaro, I have had a
go.
For anyone hoping for HDMI support under Manjaro, I have tested this and
does not appear to be working. Laptop screen only folks :( Looking at
the forums, even on the Pinebook Pro it via a USB C adaptor it only
appears to be experimental.
How odd. I know Malcolm H-G sent me a photo of Pinebook driving a big
monitor when he got his home after a Wakefield meeting about a year back.
I believe that was using Manjaro. It sounds like it has gone backwards
since then maybe.
What I find odd is that they used to advertise that they used a newer
version of the kernel driver package. Can't find that info any more
though.
What I did find was this...

It suggests that HDMI output is possible on arch-linux based platforms,
but possibly only at 1600x1200 resolution (or perhaps 1920x1200). This
would fit with Malcolm running on quite a large monitor.

PS, thanks for posting the "how to", Paul :)
